Container jobs are settled on the phone in about two minutes. Here is what to have ready.
(607) 247-9634Mon–Sat 7am–5pmFive things, and the call is done
- The address It tells us the jurisdiction for permits, the likely ground conditions and where you sit on the day's run.
- Roughly when the house was built The single most useful thing you can tell us. Pre-1940 means plaster, which means weight, which means a different container.
- What the material actually is “Plaster and lath from two rooms” beats “quite a lot of stuff” every time. Mixed, heavy or bulky are three different containers.
- Where it will sit Paved drive, gravel drive, lawn or street — and whether there is anything overhead. We need roughly 23 feet of clearance and 60 feet of straight run.
- When you need it And whether that date is fixed. A closing or an inspection changes how we schedule.

From the call to collection
- We size it on the phone Based on the material and the age of the building, not a dropdown. If we think you want something different from what you asked for, we will say why.
- We settle placement and the permit question Your own drive needs nothing. Street, kerb or right of way means a permit from whichever authority owns the road, and we will tell you which office.
- Delivery, on the day agreed Boards down, container set with the doors facing the way you asked. If anything about the access has changed since you rang, tell the driver before it comes off.
- You load it, level with the rail A week is standard. Ring if you need longer, or if you need a swap because it filled faster than expected.
- Call when you are done Collection is usually the next working day. You do not need to be there.
Things worth asking us about
Whether the ground will hold
Especially March to May. We will tell you honestly whether your gravel drive is a problem this week, and what the alternative is.
Whether something can go in
Michigan's banned list catches people out. If you are unsure about an item, describe it — it is a thirty second answer.
Whether you need a roll-off at all
For a couple of items, you probably do not, and we will point you at the local bulk pickup instead.
What people ask when they call
Is there an online booking form?
No, deliberately. Sizing a container properly needs two or three questions answered, and a form cannot ask the follow-up. The call is quicker.
What if I ring outside hours?
Leave a message with the address and the job and we will come back to you when the yard opens. Monday mornings are busy — a message beats a redial.
Do I need to be home for delivery?
Not if the placement is clear and agreed. Mark the spot if there is any ambiguity — a cone or a piece of timber is enough.
How much notice do you need?
A few days is comfortable. Same-day happens when the run allows. Peak roofing season in late summer is the exception — book early.
Can I change the collection date?
Yes, as long as you tell us before the scheduled day. A container sitting full is no use to you and no use to us.
Who do I speak to about a commercial account?
Ring the same number and say it is trade. Standing arrangements, planned swaps and multi-site work are all straightforward to set up.
Ready when you are
Address, age of the building, what the material is. That is the whole conversation.
